
OSMAN MUBARIK ABU – CO-FOUNDER
Osman Mubarik Abu holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication. He has over a decade of experience in the public sector and better understands the workings of the public sector in Ghana. Over the years, he engaged in various civil society operations that have indeed broadened his understanding of the NGO environment both at the local, national, and international levels. He co-founded the Tudu Center for Leadership and Development, working to empower women particularly, young people. Over the years, he also engaged in consumer protection rights and has spearheaded the fight for consumers in the Northern Region and beyond.
He is a member of Sister Cities International and the Tamale Louisville relationship. He rose to become the Executive Secretary of Tamale-Louisville Sister Cities and has participated in several international Sister Cities conferences in the United States of America. He has had the opportunity to visit over 15 states in the United States to engage in various citizen and civil society works. In 2019 he was a guest of the World Bank Group annual meeting in Washington DC. He is a member of the World Bank-IMF civil society platform. He has a better understanding of the West African Sub-regional geopolitics and has an appreciable traveling experience within the sub-region.

MS. FAWZIA SAKARA
A professional and Proficient Administrator who has a long track record of ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes of a busy office. Ms. Fawzia Sakara is an effective team player who can meet dealings and ensure that the highest standards of office organization are maintained at all times.
Ms. Fawzia Sakara has worked with Local Government Service for 15 years and counting. Ms. Sakara has risen from Assistant Director IiB to her current position as a Deputy Director in the Local Government Service (Tamale Metropolitan Assembly). She has a methodical and thorough approach to work and a confidential and personable professional who excel at prioritizing completing multiple tasks and following through to achieve project goals. She has the experience of working with the general public face – face over the years and she is someone who will always go the extra mile to get things done.
She holds MSc in Commonwealth Executive Masters in Public Administration from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi -Ghana, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, Accra -Ghana.
Again, she has a Higher National Diploma in Secretaryship and Management from the Tamale Technical University, Tamale- Ghana.
She had her Senior Secondary School education at the Ghana Senior Secondary School now Ghana Senior High School

DR. HUSEIN HAWA – BOARD MEMBER
Dr. Hawa is an early career Researcher and Lecturer at the Tamale Technical University, Ghana. She teaches health information, biostatics and epidemiology courses at the university.
She worked at the Tamale and Ho teaching hospitals as a Head of Research Department and happened to be part of the monitoring and evaluation team, monitoring the activities of the teaching hospital. Again, she practiced as a Technical Assistant at the Department of Medical Laboratory in the Tamale Teaching Hospital for Eight (8) years. Also, she served as a consultant to African Union Science and Research Commission in Abuja to develop concept note for scientific journal in 2019. She has several publications with research focus and interest in the areas of non-communicable diseases. Global public health, gender, environment and climate change epidemiology, health systems and equity in health care, and global health.

ISSIFU KADIRI ABDUL RAUF
Issifu Kadiri Abdul Rauf is a legal practitioner and has been called to practice as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of Ghana and Nigeria with a diversified interest in litigation, advocacy, Maqasid Sharia, dispute resolution and climate change negotiations.
Kadiri Abdul Rauf is also an Associate member of the institute of chartered mediators and conciliators Nigeria.
He holds a diploma in Sharia from the Aminu Kano Centre for Islamic legal studies (Kano, Nigeria)and also has a certificate in Islamic research methodologies from the International Institute of Islamic thought U.S.A

DR. SHAHADU SOMED BITAMSIMLI
SENIOR FELLOW, LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT
Tamale, Ghana – The Tudu Center for Leadership and Development (TCLD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Somed Shahadu Bitamsimli as its new Senior Fellow in Leadership and Development. This significant appointment reflects Dr. Somed’s extensive expertise and is set to bolster TCLD’s mission in Northern Ghana.
Established in 2014, TCLD operates as a youth empowerment center dedicated to inspiring young people to address developmental challenges hindering prosperity in Northern Ghana and the country as a whole. TCLD’s mission focuses on promoting youth empowerment, gender equity, entrepreneurship, and fostering stable communities through various initiatives including research, activism, networking, and capacity building for girls, young women, and men.
In his role as Senior Fellow, Dr. Somed will play a crucial part in helping TCLD reshape, redirect, and uphold the values of social transformative leadership. He will also contribute to promoting holistic youth empowerment programming, which is developed and implemented by young people through advocacy, training, capacity building, networking, and research.
Dr. Somed brings valuable expertise in areas such as Development Policy and Practice, Development Theory, Gender and Development, Inclusive Growth, Sustainable Development, and Development Communication. His background will be a significant asset to TCLD’s work.
His responsibilities are anticipated to include contributing to the development and implementation of leadership programs for young people in Northern Ghana, consistent with TCLD’s focus on youth empowerment. He will also conduct research on leadership and development issues relevant to the context of Northern Ghana, aligning with TCLD’s commitment to research. Furthermore, Dr. Somed will mentor and guide young leaders, drawing upon his experience, and contribute to TCLD’s initiatives in areas such as gender equity and entrepreneurship as relevant to leadership development. Participation in networking activities and capacity-building initiatives for young men and women is also part of the role, with potential contributions to public engagement initiatives.

MOHAMMED ABDUL GANIU – PROJECT OFFICER-DANCE FOR EDUCATION
Abdul Ganiu holds a diploma in Basic Education from the University For Development Studies. He has been engaged in the creative and performing art since 2013 and currently the dance instructed at the Dance for Education Project Ghana. He is looking forward to take the career to International level. He is a dedicated, organized and methodical individual. He has a great and impressive interpersonal skills, am an excellent team player. One of his positive attribute is his keen and willing to learn and develop new skills. He is reliable and dependable and often seek new responsibilities within a wide range of employment areas.
